Job Description

A well-established media company is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for their infrastructure team in Austin. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing their Kubernetes-based platform using a broad array of tools, including Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and Terraform.

Tech Stack: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda), Terraform, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Istio, AWS Fargate, Consul
Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of platform engineering experience
  • Expertise with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform, Istio, and Kafka
  • Experience managing distributed systems with Consul and ElasticSearch

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Manage AWS-based infrastructure and serverless environments with Fargate
  • Automate platform services and deployments using Terraform
  • Ensure platform reliability and availability with Kafka and ElasticSearch
  • Secure and route traffic between microservices using Istio

Salary: $160,000 – $180,000/year
